Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is a specialized ultrasound scan of the heart.

Using high frequency ultrasound, we can visualize your heart chambers, valves and blood flow through your heart to diagnose heart conditions and how well your heart is functioning.

A stress echocardiogram is a procedure that is used to assess how well your heart is functioning, and whether you may have coronary artery disease, or ‘blocked arteries’.

Your heart is imaged with ultrasound at rest, then immediately after exercise to determine how it responds to the increased effort.

24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitor

A 24 hour blood pressure monitor is an automated Blood Pressure monitor which you wear for 24hours.

Your blood pressure is recorded at 30 to 60 minute intervals for the entire time it is worn, including while you sleep, and throughout your daily activities.

Holter monitors are a small monitoring device that are worn consistently for 1 to 7 days depending your on the request from your Doctor. It records your ECG, rate and rhythm of your heart for the entire period it is worn. As it is small and waterproof, you can easily go about your daily activities.

The ABI tests the circulation in your legs. This works by comparing the blood pressure in your arms, to the blood pressure in your legs and is used to check for blockages in your leg arteries.
